WEB-version
"DocuMen" is developed in two versions - version for local network ("fat client") and WEB-version ("slim client"). WEB-version provides users with an opportunity to work with the application remotely - using intranet- ("slim client") or
Internet ("web slim client") way of connection to the database.
WEB-version is using the fastest in the class ASP.NET database access technology (DevExpress grid). It runs
on servers with Windows XP or (recommended) Windows Server 2003/2008 - so there is no need in purchasing any additional database access software (SQL, Oracle, etc.)
WEB-version (contrary to the local network version) does not require installation on each user's PC - it is installed just on your company's (or on your WEB-provider's) server PC; the users links to the database using intranet or Internet browser.
Requirements to PC-server
- Processor Pentium 4 or higher
- Min. 512 MB RAM (1 GB is better)
- 30 MB of available hard disk space
- Windows 2000 Server Family (2003 or 2008) recommended, Windows XP Pro
- Internet Information Server (IIS) with ASP.NET support
- .NET Framework 2.0
